Survive the night in this horror VR game
Project: Nightlight is a hair-raising puzzle game where you’ll have to take on the responsibilities of a night guard at a facility where eerie events have begun to occur. In this horror VR title from Fringe Realities, you will have to explore various areas and solve mind-boggling puzzles to help you make it through the night.
Much like in Escape Bloody Mary, Project: Nightlight is presented from a first-person point of view that allows you to immerse yourself in the story and setting fully. Take note, though, that this game features mature content, such as gore and violence.
Explore various areas
Project: Nightlight starts off with your character entering their shift to protect an important artifact. However, as the night progresses, you’ll begin experiencing a number of unusual events that may or may not be related to this special item. Your main goals will be instructed to you through a walkie-talkie. This mode of communication will also act as your guide as you venture through the large facility.
This stunning VR game makes use of lifelike visuals and physics that better immerse you in the in-game world. By allowing you to interact with a variety of elements and items surrounding your character, you can truly feel like you’ve stepped into the character’s shoes. As previously stated, you will have to pick up objects and solve puzzles to uncover what dark secrets lie ahead.
In order to better support the high-quality visuals and sizable map of this game, however, you’ll need at least 16 GB of memory, as well as 8 GB of storage space to accommodate all of the necessary game files. These system requirements are quite steep, so lower specced devices can run into some issues that can bar them from running the game as intended.
Worth the high system requirements
Although Project: Nightlight does ask for quite a bit in terms of system requirements, it can easily be forgiven when considering the immersive and lifelike experience this virtual reality game presents. In addition to the intriguing narrative and tricky problems you have to solve, there’s also a sense of thrill when following the unknown voice on the other side of the handheld communication device.
